Inspired by the overlooked Tai Khamti rebellion of 1839, it follows a wounded prince, his devoted bodyguard, and his resourceful uncle as they navigate treacherous terrain, evade enemy forces, and devise a daring escape before dawn. A powerful narrative of resistance and identity, *MOK MU* honors the legacy of the Tai Khamti people while resonating with timeless human struggles.

Based on the short story from Panchatantra - The Day Dreaming Priest. The short stories from Panchatantra are for kids but adults too can learn from the stories. Like, The Day Dreaming Priest offers the wisdom - There is no substitute for hard work. Dreams cannot be fulfilled without hard work. Since our short film is based on the above story, it shares the same wisdom and what we want to say -- Dreams is good but dreams cannot be achieved without putting in hard work.

The project (shortfilm) started in November of 2020 and completed the principal photography in March 2021. We made this film with lots and lots of patience and a little bit of hard work.

P.S. - Though we had put our blood and sweat, we are not making any money from this project. The background score used is all from the Japanese auteur Yasujirō Ozu's entire filmography, especially from his 1959 film - Good morning, music by Toshiro Mayuzumi. And also Kabuki Gomen-Jyo! by Arr. W. Matsuriza. We don't have rights to any of the music. We thought about giving an original score but due to Covid 2nd wave, we couldn't.
